FOCUS OF PRACTICE
Dr. Krystal Samuel is board certified in internal medicine and board eligible for cardiovascular disease. She has a medical degree from Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine. After earning her degree she completed a residency at Avondale Lutheran General Hospital and a fellowship at Franciscan St. James Health.
With a mother who is a nurse and a father who is a radiology technologist, Dr. Samuel was exposed to healthcare at an early age. As she grew older she began volunteering at hospitals and a nursing home. Being a physician allows her to live out her passion to serve others.
Dr. Samuel enjoys exploring how the heart works and sharing knowledge about treating and preventing cardiovascular disease. Her favorite part of cardiology is helping patients prevent disease. She helps patients understand their condition and the decisions they can make to improve their health and quality of life.
In her spare time Dr. Samuel’s enjoys traveling, sports and spending time with her family. She is married to a pastor and has two children.
